During this semester, we had the opportunity to design an Ecological Conservation center. The Conservation center is a way to  enlighten the people of the Shenandoah valley on the natural beauty the valley has to offer. The buildings overall design was inspired by a rock I had found during a class trip to the Frazier quarry. During the walk to the entrance of the building, there is a split concrete path that invites nature to overflow into it that allows viewers to take a journey that will gradually greet them with the Conservation center. In the atrium, the guests are invited to explore different types of trees and plant life that is grown in the Shenandoah Valley while walking along a path next to sunken stone that gives the same effect the quarry did.
